Add Dashparts to a Dashboard

Add the dashparts that surface the information you need, then move and resize them until the layout supports the intended audience and use case.

These steps do not apply when Vantagepoint is accessed on a tablet or smart phone.

Add the dashparts​

  1. In the Navigation pane, select Dashboards.
  2. Open the dashboard that you want to modify from My Dashboards, Personal, or All Dashboards.
  3. On the Dashboard form, click Edit Mode.
  4. In the dashboard list, select the dashboard you want to change.
  5. On the edit mode toolbar, click Dashpart Library.
  6. Drag the dashpart you want from the Available Dashparts list into the dashboard area.
  7. Repeat until the dashboard contains the dashparts you need, then click Save.

Refine the layout​

Use the dashboard area itself to organize the final view:

  • Move a dashpart by clicking and dragging it to a new location.
  • Resize a dashpart by dragging the lower-right corner.

System dashparts cannot be resized.

Language behavior

When you add an existing dashpart to a dashboard, the dashpart retains the language that was in effect when that dashpart was created, even if the dashboard uses a different language context.
